SCOTTISH TOUR: TARBAT – PORTMAHOMACK – GLENMORANGIE – LYBSTER – THURSO

Sixth day of travel.
Departing from Inverness to reach Thurso, me, Riccardo, Irene and Giovanni we stopped to:
Portmahomack, a lovely seaside town.

 

Sesto giorno di viaggio.
Partiti da Inverness per raggiungere Thurso, io, Riccardo, Irene e Giovanni abbiamo sostato a:
Portmahomack, un delizioso paese di mare.

The nice thing of the Scotland is that then, along the road, at some moment, you can find a breathtaking view as you’ll see in this next pictures.
I believe I have never seen a place so beautiful in my life, and I assure you that the pictures makes much less than it actually is.

La cosa bella della Scozia è che poi, percorrendo la strada, ad un certo momento, ti trovi davanti un panorama mozzafiato come questo che vedrete nelle prossime foto.
Credo di non aver mai visto un luogo così magnifico in vita mia, e vi assicuro che dalle foto rende molto meno di quello che è in realtà.

Then we visited the Glenmorangie distillery, where inside, a guide explained to us how originates the whiskey and at the end of the tour we were given the opportunity to taste the Glenmorangie Whisky.
Keep in mind that we’re practically teetotalers :D

 

Abbiamo poi visitato la distilleria di Glenmorangie, dove al suo interno, una guida ci ha spiegato come nasce il whisky e alla fine del tour ci è stata data la possibilità di assaggiare il Glenmorangie Whisky.
Tenete presente che siamo tutti e 4 praticamente astemi :D

Then we reached Lybster, where we had lunch right on the little harbor: sandwiches and potatos with crab and tuna and mayonnaise.
Very yummy :)

 

Abbiamo poi raggiunto Lybster, dove abbiamo pranzato proprio sul piccolo porto: panini e patate al granchio e tonno e maionese.
Una vera prelibatezza :)

In the end we reached Thurso, where we stayed for one night, really tired but really happy to have seen truly magical places!
 
 
Infine abbiamo raggiunto Thurso, dove abbiamo soggiornato per una notte, stanchi ma felicissimi per aver visto luoghi davvero magici!
